[curfew's just ending and where is he? in his suite like an obedient passenger, except he's not chomping on his bit to leave as usual, no, not today. when the sphere turns on, he's standing in the bathroom, the door closed, and wearing only just a pair of pyjama bottoms as he hangs his head over the sink. his face remains hidden from view as water droplets slide down his hair and trickle down the tip of his poor swollen nose. wet hands clutch white-knuckled at the edges of the sink while goose pimples run up bare arms and down his naked torso as he just stands there for a moment longer, oblivious to the transmission.

with his back still to the sphere, he reaches for a towel, gripping it awkwardly with his thumb and tries pinning the material between it and the glove-like cast on his left hand. after fumbling with it for a moment, he shifts his body and grabs at it with his good hand, muttering something under his breath as he throws the towel over his head. it's right then, however, as he's drying his hair that he catches the sphere in the mirror's reflection--and how he can tell that it's on when it looks like a miniature sun, well, it's probably best not to ask. probably wouldn't give a straight answer anyway.

and whether he'll admit if he's been to the curious window on Level 23 or not is anybody's guess.]

[oh he listened, but curiosity killed the cat after all...

looks up at the sudden voice--hadn't he turned it off?--and smiles weakly] Ah, yes. Just a run-in with one of those creatures.

Aerith...were you the one who put that note on my door? I've been trying to figure it out for days now and between the number of letters there--or almost letters--it looks almost like your name.

Yes. Lost the others, couldn't find anyone. Couldn't feel anything, couldn't see. The sons of Sparda are gone. Everyone always leaves... Tried looking, only heard noise. Nonsense.

Doctor? You're awake early. [so is he, for that matter, but at least he looks healthy now]

[okay, so he does look a little more tired than normal] Well you know me, I don't exactly sleep, Ollie.

[squints his eyes] What happened to your bandages?

[mutters] You look like you tried to.

[can't help but grin at that] Don't need 'em. I'm all healed up!

Just an experiment, really. [innocently runs a hand through his wet hair.]

Are you really? How'd you manage that?

[may or may not be quietly watching him from the other room, alternately worried and upset over his display]

[finally leaves the bathroom, towel slung around his shoulders. the moment he sees her face, he puts on a slight smile.] Sorry I took so long in there.

[that smile means very little to her] Are you still unwell? You look unhealthy.

[sits down next to her] Really, I'm fine. I've just been...tired lately.

Uggh. Sorry for that log taking so damn long. I had finals this week.

Well, you see...I don't really need that much sleep. A couple hours rest every now and then, and I'm fine.

[She's been getting nightmares herself, but as a person who's been through a lot of psychological problems? She's actually gotten used to them. The only time she would wake up again is when her dreams get a drastic shift- which would be never, as she's making sure she wont look at the blur again.]

Me, well, just fine. Little tired lately. Must be all that action and excitement with the creatures finally wearing off. I've gotten terribly out of shape being forced into idle like this!
