[ooc: backdated to a little while after this entry.]
[In person, but also filtered to all passengers who'll be joining in the search later.]
[urgently, looking around at everyone who's gathered and secretly is unsettled by the fact that Oliver hasn't shown up yet.] All right, sorry everyone, but those of us here can't wait any longer.
Now. A ship this size is going to need an awfully big section devoted just to the engineering end of operations, so there's going to be the potential of getting lost in there. I've got some markers here for some of the teams here [points to a handful left on the floor], but you lot who haven't arrived yet should bring something to mark where you've been as well.
In Orion's message, he said we should be able to find our way to the right area easy enough, but if you know your ships--and I do--it's not going to be as simple as that. We have to find the right door to even get access to the main engine control room. But Orion was useful for something since he gave us the passcodes we can use--just didn't tell us which one, so we going to have to try them all out and hope we don't get locked out of the system. That's a risk we're going to have to take.
I don't know about you, but when the right door is found, we shouldn't let Ganymede know or else he'll come running and try to put a stop to this. [hopes to find the man before this can happen.] So to get around any nosy captains, when you do find the door, use Klavier's suggestion and announce it over the Spheres, but say "I've hit my elbow on the door!" From there, we'll locate you and see about shutting down those engines.
All right, enough talk! Those of you who are still on your way, please be careful. And that goes for all of you as well. [eyes everyone in front of him, his expression serious.]
Now...allons-y! [points towards the door Ganymede had disappeared into.]
[/filter to everyone]
[filter to Oliver]
Oliver, where are you? It doesn't take that long to get from the cinema to the transportation pads. [a little fear slips into his voice and he can almost feel another wave of time sickness coming on. he fights to push that feeling away.]

Oliver, where are you? It doesn't take that long to get from the cinema to the transportation pads. [a little fear slips into his voice and he can almost feel another wave of time sickness coming on. he fights to push that feeling away.]

Re: filter;
Re: filter;
Oliver, be ready!
Re: filter;
Take the lead, Doctor! Let's vanquish this evil!
Re: filter;
In the name of Time and Space, we will righteously take you down in a disabling fashion!
Re: filter;
[the creatures are in full view now--there is an entire group of them, rushing toward them down the hallway]
Re: filter;
Re: filter;
Re: filter;
[after waiting a moment longer for the creatures to near, he bends his knees and shouts:] NOW!
[and then pushes himself off the ground, jumping high into the air. he does a double somersault in the air--but he still hasn't cleared the group, so he plants his foot on one of the creatures' heads and begins to run from head to head, aiming for the open hallway beyond.]
Re: filter;
Re: filter;
--until a group of them suddenly reach up, grabbing his feet and legs and jerk him down as they neatly part so his face can get acquainted with the ground.]
Re: filter;
[unfortunately, the creatures have other ideas, and Oliver hastily blocks as one throws a punch at him]
Re: filter;
despite that, he thrashes out with his legs a moment later, twisting his body suddenly so he can get at least one foot free]
Unhand me! Oliver! Are you all right?!
Re: filter;
Re: filter;
Oh, get off me! [wiggles out of the creatures' grasp, landing punches and well-placed pressure point hits on them.]
Re: filter;
[the creature succeeds in jumping on top of him while he hesitates, punching him in the face, and Oliver lets out a shout, trying to roll away]
Re: filter;
[still refusing to draw his blaster, he ducks low, catching the closest creature by the waist. using its momentum against it, he tosses the creature back over his shoulder and quickly spins around to deliver a kick to its sternum before he can use that free moment to jump over a small cluster of the creatures heading toward him so he can help Oliver out.]
Re: filter;
[the one on top of him seizes the opportunity to grab Oliver by the front of the suit, pulling him up as he struggles against his attackers; it slams him hard back into the ground, his head jerking violently]
Re: filter;
Say something if you're okay! [continues to fight off the rest of Oliver's attackers, absolutely besides himself with fury]
Re: filter;
Re: filter;
Will you neve--ARGH! [pain shoots up his arm and his head snaps back to see the creature still holding his hand give him what might've been a grin, but he's too busy noticing how the fingers on his hand are now bent back at awkward angles. he can't even move them without pain bringing tears to his eyes. he can't even remember the last time he'd broken a bone--much less like this!]
[in his rage, he's drawn his blaster and fires it at the creature's chest and keeps on firing until the creature collapses to the ground and stops moving. and then he turns the blaster on the one kicking Oliver.]
Re: filter;
[Oliver groans, raising his head slightly, but he's too disoriented and his arms in too much pain to do more than that]
Re: filter;
when that's done, he looks around quickly, wildly brandishing the blaster, but no other creatures remain. perhaps they were distracted by something else just then, but now that there aren't any more, he nearly drops the blaster, ashamed of what he's just done, but he manages to put it away before kneeling down and checking Oliver. the young man's still breathing, but the state of his injuries is another question.]
[before he tries to rouse Oliver, he takes hold of his horribly bent, broken fingers and cries out as he sets them back into their proper positions one at a time. tears burn at the corners of his eyes, but he knows there's no other choice right then.]
Ollie? [his voice is strained and tenderly touches the young man's shoulder, shaking him gently with his good hand] Come on Ollie, they're gone right now, but there's no telling when they'll be back. We have to be gone by then.
Re: filter;
[however, with the helmet gone, Oliver's bruised face also becomes visible, and, if the Doctor is looking closely, he is bleeding from the back of his head; he focuses his gaze on the Doctor, though his expression is bleary] Doctor? [he takes a deep breath, closing his eyes briefly in pain] Help me up.
